Food Technician
  • Job Type: Permanent, Full Time
  • Location: Horsham, West Sussex, 
  • Salary: £18,795 - £19,171 pro-rata (Grade 4 Points 5–6)

Reed are working with an outstanding co-educational comprehensive school, who is looking for a dedicated Food Technician to support their Technology Department. This role is crucial in facilitating excellent teaching and learning within the school, which is known for its high academic standards.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Assist in the preparation and organisation of materials and equipment for food technology classes.
  • Support teachers and students during lessons, ensuring a smooth and efficient classroom experience.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage the ordering and stocking of food supplies and equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Technology Department to enhance the learning experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good manual dexterity for handling food and equipment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff and students.
  • Flexibility and initiative in managing a varied workload.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
