Our Food Specials promotions team are looking for a highly motivated and analytical consultant to join their fast-paced team. This role will focus on the planning and execution of weekly limited offer promotions across our stores in GB, which have key strategic importance to the success of the Lidl GB business. You will have responsibility over our interchangeable range of global products that provide tastes of the world to our 960+ stores and customers across the country.

You will be responsible for shaping the promotions across the international taste themes alongside out GB branded promotions within the ambient category. In this role you will need excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, being comfortable with making impactful decisions for the business.

What you'll do

  • Planning of weekly in/out products, both locally and internationally sourced
  • Liaising with our suppliers and being a point of contact for requests
  • Collaborate with our Buying teams to ensure excellent cooperation and customer focused mindset
  • Analyse data from products and report this back to management
  • Perform market and commercial analysis to facilitate the creation of the food promotions purchasing and ordering strategies including market observation, trend analysis and range planning

What you'll need

  • Strong multi-tasking skills alongside excellent organisation skills
  • Experience within the retail industry and preferably within a commercial role
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and someone who thrives on being busy
  • A naturally analytical mind-set
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to spot errors
  • Intermediate level Excel skills would be highly advantageous
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and proof of delivering this in previous experience
  • The ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding targets and tight deadlines
  • Be commercially focused with a good commercial mindset
  • German skills advantageous but not essential
