What will you be doing?

As a member of the Environmental Science Team, you will be accountable for ensuring that we are compliant with our Flow Conditions in our environmental permits. You will promote and improve the awareness and performance of Flow Compliance within both Water and Water Recycling.

As the Flow Compliance Manager, you will be part of the wider Anglian Water environmental community and will provide leadership, collaboration and input to ensure flow compliance is maintained.

Key duties include:?

  • Monitoring and reporting against instantaneous and storm flow compliance
  • Improving regulatory EDM / Forward Pass Flow reporting, data quality and performance to build trust with regulators and customers
  • Using reporting tools to identify points/sensors/telemetry which are not working correctly, owning the remedial works using Operations, Maintenance, IOS and Telemetry as appropriate to make the sensors and reporting reliable and accurate
  • Ensure EDM / Forward Pass Flow reporting performance is communicated to management and leadership teams when appropriate
  • Monitoring and effectively responding to any changes in flow compliance legislation/EA policy
  • Ensuring MCERTS certification for all required flow meters and devices by effectively managing the certification and remedial works programme
  • Monitoring & effectively responding to any changes in flow compliance legislation/EA policy
  • Influencing the National Agenda regarding Flow Compliance for your portfolio area, delivering a favourable outcome for Anglian Water through membership of any relevant Task and Finish Groups

What does it take to be a Flow Compliance Manager?

  • Strong technical background
  • Operational Water Recycling experience including sewerage systems and storm overflows would be advantageous
  • Excellent stakeholder management skillset- influencing, persuading and engaging with internal and external customers
  • Ability to interpret technical information and data sets through analytical skills
  • Advocate of driving continuous improvement
  • Understanding of regulatory process for Flow Compliance
  • Good communicator- someone who can communicate detailed data and information to various multi-disciplinary teams in a concise manner
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workloads
  • Adaptable, changing to the business environment where necessary
  • Full driving license as a large amount of travel across the Anglian Water region is required
