The Company

Our client, a fast-growing, multi-site business, provides transport in the Child and Adult Social Care sector.

They are now seeking a Fleet Director to head up their national team in Essex on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As Fleet Director, you will oversee a nationwide fleet of circa 6,000 vehicles, ensuring it runs smoothly, effectively and compliantly.

This senior-leadership role will see you primarily tasked with ensuring that our client has sufficient vehicles to meet current and future needs, that fleet usage is maximised and that vehicles are sold within targets and sales costs are managed.

Overseeing and viewing all costs, you will be involved in vehicle procurement, including negotiations, working with new and existing OEM and negotiating best terms.

You will review the number of vehicles off road, for sale and waiting to be licensed, as well as undertaking reviews of all parking storage to ensure rentals are minimised and vehicles are accounted for.

Additionally, you will:

- Ensure that the fleet is correctly compliant with licensing
- Set up nationwide best deals for all repairs and servicing of vehicles
- Maximise profit on the sale of vehicles
- Ensure vehicle swaps and fleet deliveries meet agreed timeframes

About You

To be considered as a Fleet Director, you will need:

- Experience in a similar logistics-management role
- Operations experience
- Leadership experience
- Communication skills
