Location: Aldermaston, Reading

Salary: £34,193 per annum plus benefits

EMCOR UK are currently recruiting for a Fire & Security Systems Technician to join our busy team based in Aldermaston. Due to the nature of our client and the site, only British Nationals with sole UK passports will be considered for this role.

Job Purpose:

To install and maintain electronic installations and equipment including satellite systems in an effective, efficient and professional manner to the complete satisfaction of all of our direct and indirect clients

What you'll do:

  • The maintenance and Installation of electronic/satellite installations and associated equipment
  • Assistance in the preparation of estimates / quotations as required
  • Taking an active part in the on call system
  • The responsibility for allocated work orders from receipt to completion
  • Provision of information on progress of allocated work orders
  • Adherence to all current company procedures and the IMS system
  • Adherence to the Quality Management System applied to the electrical department
  • Developing of relationships with all clients and potential new customers
  • Ensuring continuous improvement and drive for value for money

What you'll need:

  • Appropriate trade qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience of Installation, testing and maintenance of IT networks, CCTV networks, satellite networks, satellite receivers, Fire Alarm systems, Telemetry networks,
  • Experience of Fibre optic jointing and connection
  • Experience of fault finding
  • Experience of cable containment
  • Experience of cable calculations
  • Experience of Static UPS
  • Experience of Safe working practices and permit to work systems
  • Have team building skills and be a good communicator
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English
  • Hold a valid license
  • A reasonable level of computer literacy in the more common applications
