Venn Group have an exciting opportunity for a Gas Engineer in the Dorset area, working for a well renowned Social Housing provider.

Looking for an immediate start, day to day duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Inspecting, servicing, repairing and installing all aspects of fire related systems by investigating and diagnosing faults and making effective, economical and lasting repairs
  • Respond to emergency calls within the timescale specified wherever possible
  • Commissioning of fire panels/carry out remedials/small works in line with business needs
  • Participate in the out of hours on call rota for all system types whenever necessary
  • Ensure that fire installations are compliant with BS5839 and BAFE
  • Support/Assist Admin with technical enquiries/issues
  • Carry out site surveys when required
  • Fully complete all relevant documentation and PDA notes, log books etc; relating to all aspects of role
  • Call out rota, 1 night in every 9 nights (£30 per out of hour call out visit)

In order to be successful for the role, the candidate must have:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Standards – BS5839 – Must have solid understanding
  • FIA Units 1 and 2 (Desirable)
  • BAFE Extinguisher (Desirable)
  • IOSH (Desirable)
  • Safe Isolation/Electrical Foundations (Desirable)
  • Advanced knowledge of MXPro/GENT/Conventional Panels/Morley/C-TEC/Fike
