Fire Risk Assessor (12 Month FTC)
Location: West Yorkshire
Salary: £40-55K (Depending on experience)
Fully on-site

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct fire risk assessments for all residential properties.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Identify and communicate any safety concerns or areas needing improvement to the Health and Safety Manager.
  • Recommend necessary enhancements and oversee their implementation.
  • Offer fire safety advice and support to colleagues and residents.
  • Stay informed about changes in fire safety laws and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments and actions taken.
  • Aid in developing and delivering fire safety training for staff and residents.


Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in conducting fire risk assessments.
  • Previous work in a fire safety capacity within social housing or similar settings.
  • Familiarity with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
  • Track record of managing and completing projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Knowledge of current building policies, including fire safety guidelines and legislation, codes of practice, asbestos regulations, and compliance requirements.

Relevant professional qualification eg NEBOSH General Certificate Fire Safety and Risk Management or qualification such as IFSM Fire Manager Training, Fire Risk Assessor, or relevant training course such as fire training course approved by the IFE.
