The Fire Engineer's Role

The successful Fire Engineer will work alongside a team of experienced professionals in a dynamic environment. The role will involve undertaking a variety of projects across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, and rail. Key responsibilities will include conducting external wall risk assessments, compartmentation surveys, and both large and small cladding projects. The Fire Engineer will also engage in compliance checks and site visits, ensuring all projects meet the highest standards of safety and effectiveness.

The Fire Engineer

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in Fire Engineering is essential.
• BEng or CEng in Fire Engineering, or substantial relevant experience.
• Membership with the Institute of Fire Engineers preferred.
• Desirable skills include experience with EWS-1, proficiency in Excel VBA or similar for project analysis, and a strong track record in client-facing roles.
• The Fire Engineer should be capable of visiting project and construction sites to provide expert advice on the implementation of designs.
