Fire Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a talented Fire Engineer to join an Industry leading, multidisciplinary consultancy based from their Sevenoaks office, London Office, or remotely in the South / South East. Our client is an award-winning multidisciplinary practice that are recognised to be industry leaders that work with a variety of Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Developers, commercial portfolio holders and residential management companies providing Fire Engineering services. Chartered Building Surveyors who are looking for a career path into Fire Engineering are also encouraged to apply, as our client is receptive in their search.

Fire Engineer Position Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £70k - £100k (open to discussion DOE)

Fire Engineer Position Overview

• Working with and developing a Quality Management System. Report on a regular basis on status of projects and update Fee Projections.
• Assist the client in RAG assessing their stock to understand their potential liabilities.
• Review information relating to fire safety that the client has accrued for their buildings to date and advise them of its suitability.
• Conduct Fire Risk Assessments both internally and externally inline with current industry guidance and compile a detailed report.
• Provide CPD to clients making them aware of their obligations as building owners.
• Work with the project team to produce cost effective, pragmatic remedial solutions where possible.
• Attend client/resident meetings when required to explain reports that have been issued and the implications of the findings.

Fire Engineer Position Requirements

• Completed External Wall Risk Assessments
• Experience in Type 1-4 FRA's & Compartmentation Surveys
• Prior works on large and small refurbishment and re- cladding projects
• Qualified by one or more of the following:
• MIFire E
• MIFSM
• C Build E MCABE
• CEng
