Fire Engineer

Romsey, Hampshire - Hybrid Role

Salary £40,000 - £65,000 + Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Pension + 3k Annual Bonus

Blaymires Recruitment is representing the leading fire safety and Facade Consultancy based near Romsey who is searching for a Fire Engineer

The company provide expert services for external wall surveys, internal compartmentation, and fire risk assessments to ensure complete legislation compliance.

Role of the Fire Engineer

This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Fire Engineer. The Fire Engineer will be responsible for Conducting Fire Risk Assessments, Carrying out Fire Door Surveys, Carrying out Fire Risk Assessments of the External Walls, Completing Fire Strategies/Fire Statements, ensuring compliance in regard to life safety using available Regulations, Guidance and Fire Codes. The Fire Engineer will also provide technical support and advice to clients and project teams. Some travelling and remote work is required.

Requirements / Qualifications for the Fire Engineer

  • Experience in conducting Fire Door Inspector/surveyor.(Desirable).
  • Experience in conducting Fire Risk Assessor types 1, 2, 3, and 4. (Desirable).
  • Level 3/4 Certificate in Fire Safety.(Desirable).
  • Experience in Life Safety and Fire Safety.
  • Knowledge of Fire Safety Act, Building Safety Act.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with ADB, BS9999, BS9991,(Desirable)
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Experience conducting PAS 9980 surveys.(Desirable)
  • FRAEW's (Desirable)
  • Able to complete Fire Strategies and Fire Statements.(Desirable)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel (Requirement)
  • Membership or the IFE, IFSM, IFPO, NEBOSH, IOSH (Desirable).
