Title: Fire and Security Apprenticeship Tutor

Location of Works: Edgware

The Company: Exciting opportunity to join the largest leading provider of apprenticeships in the Fire and Security sector. Due to growth and demand of these the apprenticeships, the company is looking for experienced Fire and Security Engineers who are looking to upskill as an Apprenticeship Tutor, to teach the next generation of engineers (all qualifications gained are paid for by the company).

Package:

£37,000 basic DOE – with salary increases after each qualification gained with potential earning of £40,000+

25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Main Responsibilities:

Delivering your knowledge, skills and behaviours to the apprentices you are teaching

Work within the stipulated parameters of the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and Ofsted

Working individually and as part of a team to teach the apprentices

Strong understanding and practical experience in Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of Fire alarms, Intruder alarms, Access control & CCTV

3+ years’ experience as a Fire and Security Engineer

Be able to demonstrate and teach apprentices hands on skills

Flexibility to travel and stay overnight

Working within the parameters of the ESFA and Ofsted

Knowledge and experience:

3+ years’ experience as a Fire and Security Engineer

Strong understanding and practical experience in Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of Fire alarms, Intruder alarms, Access control & CCTV

Specialised Industry Qualifications (FIA, FireQual, Milestone Advanced, or Equivalent)

Great presenter and communicator, who can relate to and coach different personalities with different learning styles

Experience of traineeship or apprenticeship delivery is highly desirable but not essential

Proven track record of working to KPI’s

Familiarisation with Microsoft Teams

Experience of using a Learner Management System (LMS)

Hold or be prepared to work towards an accredited post 16 teaching qualification e.g. Level 3 Award in Education, higher or equivalent
