Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting for a Fire Alarm Service Engineer on behalf of our client.
This is a highly rewarding position, joining a strong and dedicated Operations team in the Birmingham Branch providing a high level of job satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to carry out maintenance & repairs as required on Fire Alarm Systems.
As this is a field role covering the Wolverhampton area, it is essential you live within a 10 mile radius of Wolverhampton.
Essential Skills/Requirements:
- The engineer would need to be part of the on call rota which is currently, 1 in 7
- Stable /consistent work history
- Minimum of 2/3 years’ experience
- Good Fire Alarm Technical Knowledge
- Happy with a van
- Full Clean driving licence
Responsibilities:
? Maintenance of conventional & addressable fire detection systems
? Maintenance of emergency lighting systems
? Maintenance of automatic opening vents
? Fault finding and repairs to above systems
? To provide reliable, quality support to our customers at all times
? To have a professional telephone and face to face manor
? Assist customers and regional team with technical issues either on the phone
or face to face
? A flexible approach to working hours. Out of hours working will be required at times
? Provide assistance and training to other team members as required
Key Skills:
? FIA or equivalent Training
? Excellent technical knowledge of fire systems
? Have a systematic/logical approach to tasks & problems
? Ensure all tasks are carried out quickly & efficiently
? Be presentable in person and in vehicle and tools
? Excellent communication and organisational skills
? Good customer service skills
Salary:£30,000 pa + Benefits + Laptop, Phone, Van, 25 days annual holiday
