Catch 22 are partnered with a national Facilities Management company working on commercial and industrial contracts throughout Plymouth. They are looking for a Fire Alarm Engineerto join their team working in Plymouth.

Reponsibilities of the Fire Alarm Engineer;

  • To carry out Fire, Security, CCTV Planned Maintenance (PPMs), Reactive works with additional capability to assist with M&E repairs and support with Fire, Security and CCTV projects to a high level standard in accordance with the SFG20 or manufacturers recommendations.
  • Project installation, PPM in adherence to set NSI & BAFE standards. Alll in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act requirement and to company safety procedures and contract specification.
  • Respond to Reactive Works to include all Mechanical & Electrical and minor fabric issues.
  • Adhere to the out of hours call out rota (as required).
  • Correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure.
  • Provide engineering condition reports and quotations.
  • Logbook auditing.
  • Good customer interface skills.

The ideal candidate will; 

  • Demonstrate competence in all areas of your primary trade (with valid certification)
  • Minimum of trade qualifications in Fire and Security Systems & Electrical competencies (18" Edition, C&G 2330 levels 2 & 3, NVQ levels 2&3) PAT testing; electrical servicing; basic controls.
  • Hold Fire Alarm, CCTV and Security certification for maintenance and testing requirements
  • Fabric: Basic carpentry (door hanging, shelf erecting etc); internal furniture, fittings and décor repairs; extemal fixtures and fittings repairs; emergency leak repairs and gutter cleaning
  • Miscellaneous: meter reading: emergency light testing; water temperature recording; alarm testing

What we offer

  • Salary of around £36,000 depending on experience.
  • Working hours between 08:00-17:00 Mon-Fri
