Our Client 

A leading private and not-for-profit Higher Education institution, global in outlook and in practice.

The Role

You will be a pro-active, forward looking finance professional supporting the Head of Finance to deliver an efficient and effective finance service. You will be responsible for the preparation of draft statutory financial statements, both UK and US, and other statistical and tax returns. You will play a vital role in providing advice, guidance and support to the senior management on a range of accounting and legislative matters. You will also support the Management Accountant, and lead on the technical implications of planned system and process developments. 

The Successful Candidate 
  • CCAB part-qualified or actively engaged in studying
  • In-depth knowledge of financial accounting processes and procedures
  • Experience of preparing consolidated financial statements and achieving clean audits
  • Experience of preparation and review of VAT, Tax and other legislative compliant returns
  • Experience of overseeing systems and implementing system improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills
