Goodman Masson are excited to be partnered with a medium sized housing association on their search for a Financial Services Manager!

What is the role?

Main responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Financial Reporting Manager on annual statutory accounts and regulatory returns
  • Ensure trial balances and balance sheet reconciliations are accurate for Group entities
  • Work with Treasury Management team on daily and medium-term cash flow preparation
  • Maintain sufficient funds to meet obligations and manage surplus cash investments
  • Ensure payroll arrangements have adequate controls and operate effectively
  • Review monthly payroll reconciliations and submit statutory returns (e.g., pension)
  • Oversee preparation and submission of tax compliance returns
  • Liaise with HMRC and tax advisers for compliance
  • Submit proposals for annual rent and service charge increases
  • Ensure accurate updating of rent accounting systems
  • Oversee preparation of Payment Practice Reports and relevant KPIs
  • Regularly review outputs from accounting systems
  • Maintain accurate Fixed Asset and Liabilities Registers

This role is offering a salary of circa £67,000 per annum, with heavily remote working - Aylesbury based.

What do you need to succeed?

  • A full accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
  • Team Management
  • Housing background would be desirable
