Working in a FS internal audit team, you will help clients with operational controls, systems and controls, and how they manage risk. Some clients are on a fully outsourced internal audit basis.

Client Details

Top 20 accountancy firm in London. The team works with a range of clients in the financial services sector. Most clients will be insurance related.

Description

  • Lead the internal audit work from planning through to fieldwork and completion, reporting into a manager to plan audit
  • Attending pre-audit discussions
  • Fieldwork (main person on the ground doing the work), with some help from the manager - probably having junior working with them
  • Producing working papers, coming up with draft review and financing
  • A lot of client engagement involved, day to day looking after the client interactions
  • Sectors would mainly be insurance - some other financial services but mainly insurance
  • Reviewing the work of more junior staff on each audit and providing feedback to them and holding daily team meetings to assess progress on audits

Profile

  • ACA / ACCA Part qualified
  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in internal audit or similar assurance work
  • UK experience is a must
  • Knowledge of insurance / financial services sector including regulatory requirements
  • Successful candidates could come from internal audit roles in practice, industry or a FS organisation.
