Hays Senior Finance are partnering with a Global PLC within the Manufacturing sector based in Herefordshire. They have an exciting opportunity available for a Divisional Reporting Accountant to join the team. Head office is Herefordshire, however you would only be expected to be in the office 3-4 days a month. My client is entrepreneurial, collaborative, and they stand behind a common cause - "better buildings for a better world".

You will join on a full time, permanent basis and in return will receive a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum plus benefits including a bonus up to 15%.

The Divisional Reporting Accountant will be delivering a high-quality financial management service, providing financial information and analysis to the Executive Directors, the Group Board, and to key internal and external stakeholders. You will be part of the Divisional Reporting Team that are responsible for analysing and interrogating the Insulation Division Financial performance and maintaining financial discipline across the Division.

Responsibilities of our Divisional Reporting Accountant

  • Supporting the monthly reporting on the Corporate Performance Management System; Tagetik, preparing a monthly Group Pack, and other monthly reporting activities.
  • Providing analytical reviews and summary of key findings of monthly reporting information, budgets, and strategic plan submissions.
  • Assisting in forecasting reviews, challenging when necessary, to improve overall levels of forecasting accuracy.
  • Create and maintain Divisional templates as required, monitoring the roll-out of these into the local system environment.
  • Ensure that the Divisional roll-up of Inter-Company balances are fully reconciled on a monthly basis and any exceptions are followed up with 'local' Finance teams, reconciled and updated.
  • Review divisional overheads with divisional budget holders on a monthly basis to identify cost savings and ensure completeness of overhead reporting.
  • Divisional CAPEX control and monitoring.
  • Assimilate, consolidate and ensure 'local' Credit Limit applications meet the requirements for Divisional/Group Authorisation, and feedback results on monthly basis to 'local' businesses.
  • Support the KI Division Balance Sheet review process.
  • Support by playing a key role in the financial, integration of new businesses, including scoping, implementing, training and development plans as required.
  • Challenge and verify opening balances post-acquisition assessment of Fair Value adjustments for newly acquired businesses.
  • Providing support during the annual budget and strategic plan process in consolidating the financial results for Group submission.
  • Perform ROI reviews on large CAPEX projects post implementation in accordance with the GAM principles.



You will have:

  • Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Proven CPD
  • Experience of management reporting including preparation of management accounts
  • Experience of accounting systems and ERPs
  • Advanced MS Office skills, specifically Excel
  • Instinctive IT skills, quick learner
  • Some database analytical skills/proven use
  • Plan, prioritise and achieve deadlines
  • A strong desire to travel, and seeking a career path
