Our client is a rapidly expanding Barnsley based group of companies dedicated to making a positive impact on their local community. As part of their continuous growth, they are seeking a talented Financial Planning Analyst to join their finance team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the strategic financial planning of the organization and be a key player in driving business success.

As a Financial Planning Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our financial models, focusing on delivering valuable commercial insights and supporting our forecasting and budgeting processes. You will work closely with the Group Finance Director and collaborate across various departments to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and enhance existing financial models to provide deeper insights into the balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow.
  • Develop improvements in models and internal processes, regularly testing and analysing efficiency outputs.
  • Enhance reporting processes with a forward-looking approach.
  • Support the integration of new acquisitions into financial models.
  • Analyse large volumes of data and present findings in a simplified format.
  • Act as a business partner, delivering commercial insight on the successes and failures of business plans and outputs to the group.
  • Contribute to strategic projects, including acquisition planning and exploring alternatives to Excel-based modelling.
  • Perform other tasks as reasonably required, including ad-hoc analysis, project work, and supporting the Management Accounts Team.

Skills Required:

  • High degree of self-motivation.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for process improvement.
  • Commercially astute, preferably knowledgeable about the social care sector.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, able to thrive in a fast-moving and energetic business environment.
  • Excellent customer focus and willingness to take ownership of projects.
  • Proven advanced experience in financial modelling using Microsoft Excel.
  • CIMA/ACCA studier or newly qualified

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
