Financial Planning Analyst - London

£46k + travel allowance and bonus

Hybrid 1-2 days from home

Are you a Financial Analyst with a strong technical knowledge and excellent data analysis skills? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to support the financial planning and reporting requirements of a dynamic tech related business? Our client, a leading data centre provider based in Tower Hill, London, is seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly variance analysis comparing budget and monthly rolling forecast with actual results.
  • Support the preparation of annual and bi-annual budgets, ensuring business requirements are reflected.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Accounting and Tax teams to provide input into consolidated budgets and reports.
  • Assist in the month-end close process and ensure necessary adjustments are made.
  • Monitor capital expenditure against budgets in coordination with stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly cash flow forecasting.
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors as required.
  • Work closely with the Sales Planning team to ensure accurate revenue forecasts.
  • Ensure accuracy of budgets and forecasts within the Accounting system.
  • Maintain accurate P&L and Capex budgets within the P2P system.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical application.
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Familiarity with SUN and Oracle ERP systems advantageous.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to engage with senior management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • Experience in the data centre sector or other technology/capital intensive businesses is desirable.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy are key.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Good Excel skills (intermediate level).
