We are delighted to represent this independently owned Chartered firm of Financial Planners who are seeking an Administrator to join their busy team.

Working in collaboration with Financial Planners, Paraplanners and other colleagues, you will maintain and manage client records, process life, pension and investment new business, answer and deal with telephone enquiries, prepare valuations and other letters, all the while promoting the company's services in a professional and compliant manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare application forms and paperwork for clients to complete
  • Process and manage new business and servicing through to completion. Chase progress of applications; alerting Financial Planners to any issues arising and keeping clients up to date with any progress
  • Make changes to clients’ investments as instructed by paraplanners or planners
  • Prepare client portfolio valuations and review documents
  • Prepare and dispatch reports
  • Regular meetings with Paraplanner and Planner to discuss work in progress
  • Ad-hoc project work
  • Peer checking review documents and other work when required
  • Update and maintain the Client back-office system

About You and Your Key Skills

  • Good understanding of the industry and a basic technical knowledge, ideally with 2 two years’ experience in a similar role within a Financial Planning office
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills, GCSE grades A - C (or 4 - 9)
  • Computer Skills - competent in the use of relevant packages including Word and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, good organisation and time management skills
  • A critical thinker and a good problem solver
  • Good communication skills both face to face and over the phone
  • Able to work under own initiative and as a team player
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of a firms record keeping requirements
  • Understanding of the provision of advice to clients in a compliant manner
  • Experience with I/O, desirable
