iMultiply is working in partnership with a leading technology business as they search for a Financial Controller to join the team due to continued growth.

The Company

This is an innovative and thriving business ambitious plans, leveraging its market position and seeking to optimise financial performance - it sees an opportunity to be significantly larger over the next three years, both through organic growth and possible acquisitions. The business requires a Financial Controller to work alongside and support the CEO. The role will include taking responsibility for financial processes with a key objective to produce robust financial information for the Executive team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for taking control of the financial reporting, evaluating performance and cashflow management, it will be this individual’s responsibility to ensure all information is translated internally on a timely basis.

Key areas of Responsibility

  • The efficient running of a Group accounting function and the internal control environment
  • Producing management and statutory accounts
  • Supporting the CEO and Commercial/Operational teams with analysis in managing the delivery of performance together with developing/controlling the business plan
  • Robust controls and confidence over balance sheet reporting and cash management
  • Producing monthly and annual reports to identify forecasts including variance analysis
  • Driving improvements across process, systems usage and financial controls across the business
  • Working with the CEO to develop and consolidate budgets and financial plans
  • Review all financial plans regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
  • Leading the finance team - Mentoring, coaching, management support and development including appraisals, evaluations, and reporting of individual performance targets for your direct reports, plus oversight of their direct reports.

The Person

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable post qualified experience
  • Experience of operating in a private equity backed business
  • Previous experience in a Financial Controller role
  • Able to manage workload effectively and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and able to manage a small team effectively
  • Ability to operate across the business and to drive change across the finance structure
  • Good IT skills - excellent with Excel

On Offer

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis with a salary of £70,000 - £75,000 depending on experience. Further to the salary this role comes with a range of benefits including company pension, and ample holiday allowance. The role will offer a hybrid approach to office-based work also.
