Job Role: Financial Controller
Location: Birmingham (Office Based)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

We are currently seeking a proactive and motivated Financial Controller to join our clients’ finance team at their Birmingham Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop the Finance Team to support Operations
  • Conduct financial modelling
  • Ensure all Accounting systems are up to date for timely year-end accounts submission
  • Oversee cash flow and capital requirements
  • Handle inter-company submission of management accounts (8 working days month end)
  • Manage inter company cash flows
  • Provide weekly contract performance reporting on margins and debtors
  • Process payments with proper authorisation
  • Ensure quality assurance and financial probity
  • Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director on business strategy
  • Compile and submit accounts to Companies House

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience, with desirable experience
  • Proficiency in Exchequer, Sage 50, Sage Accounts Production
  • Experience in non-audited accounts submission
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work to targets and take responsibility
  • Self-motivated and hardworking with an enthusiastic approach
  • Reliable and dependable, committed to completing tasks efficiently
  • This position is strictly office-based
