Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to work for a great business based in Crawley, West Sussex. This is a fixed term contract FC job opportunity. The Financial Controller will be monitoring and managing the overheads, balance sheets, management accounts and preparation of IFRS and FRS101 compliant statutory accounts.

Salary: up to £75K

Duration: 9-10 month fixed term contract

Location: Office based, Crawley

Financial Controller duties:

  • Review and forecast group overheads
  • Review and reconcile balance sheet
  • Post prepayment, accrual and payroll journals
  • Maintain Asset register
  • Prepare trading sheets for commercial reviews and monthly forecasts
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Manage annual budget process
  • Managing the finance team
  • Maintain, create and improve system reporting
  • Preparation of tax calculations for review and statutory accounts - IFRS and FRS 101. Handling indirect tax queries

Skills and experience:

  • Proven Financial Controller level of experience working in a similar role
  • Ideally be fully qualified ACA / ACCA
  • Strong IFRS technical accounting
