We are working with a fantastic client in the Not For Profit sector who are seeking a highly capable Financial Controller to lead their Accounting and Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, budget control and reporting.

Description

Financial Controller duties and responsibilities:

  • Leading a small Accounting & Finance department to ensure effective financial management for multiple entities within the group
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Monthly management reporting including detailed analysis vs forecasts
  • Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborating with senior management to set financial goals and strategies.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve financial performance and mitigate financial risk.
  • Coordinating with external auditors to facilitate year end audits and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Supporting AR, AP and Payroll on a daily basis.
  • Promoting a culture of financial awareness and accountability.

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • A strong background in financial management and accounting.
  • P-Q CIMA or similar qualification, ideally finalist.
  • Excellent leadership skills and a friendly approach to manage a team.
  • Good knowledge of AP, AR and payroll processes
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
