Search are excited to be partnering hugely successful owner-managed SME based out in Leeds to assist in the hire of a Financial Controller.

Reporting to the Managing Director and supported by an experienced Finance team, the successful candidate will overseeing day-to-day financial operations ensuring there is a robust controls environment.

The Financial Controller will be the number 1 in finance offering support to the wider business through offering financial/commercial support to non-financial managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee preparation of financial reporting
  • Ensuring there is a robust control environment in place to manage financial risks and controls.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to proactively drive business results through better planning, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Oversee monthly/weekly payroll
  • Manage a small transactional team
  • Manage the monthly accounting close process and year-end statutory accounts, maintaining strong relationships with auditors and tax accountants.
  • Proactive development of processes and systems to add value.
  • Company secretary responsibilities

In order to be considered for the role you must be:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Happy to be hands-on & into the detail

Salary:

  • £60,000 - £70,000
  • Bonus
  • Strong Private Pension
