Job title: Financial Controller

Location/remote: Lincoln/Hybrid (3 days a week in the office)

Contract length: 9 month rolling contract

Pay rate: £15-£20 per hour PAYE

Randstad Sourceright, a international RPO & MSP Recruitment Services has an exciting opportunity for a temporary financial controller to join a one of clients based in Lincoln who is a global leader in energy technology

Our client operates in over 90 countries and has a clear mission to reduce emissions whilst increasing energy supplies, supporting companies and clients to do this on a worldwide scale

The main tasks will be, but not limited to:

  • Supports management in planning and calculating yearly budgets, for the organisation unit assigned (main focus being on the real estate business)

  • Completes budget planning, financial planning, actual-versus-plan-analysis, benchmarking, forecasting and reporting activities, for the management of an assigned functional organisation unit.

  • Consolidate budgets, including top-down and bottom-up plans, and proceeds with revolving planning, and periodic forecasts during the year.

  • Analyses and evaluates cost structures, and builds, maintains and improves the dependent cost accounting system.

  • Preparation, submission and communication of monthly Capex and Opex forecasts at regional level

  • Provides regular business reports, with respect to overall performance, and recommends actions to accountable management.

  • Carries out ad-hoc analyses and profitability calculations, and contributes to conceptual and project work related to controlling.

  • May perform evaluations of assets and liabilities, and manages inventory measures on a regular term.

  • May include functional leadership of a small number of support staff.

Key skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working in a similar position is essential

  • Auditing experience

  • Previous experience conducting forecast reviews as well as forecast vs actuals

  • Working experience within the BA or Finance, Real Estate experience would be high beneficial

  • Knowledge of IFRS

  • Knowledge of SAP, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or similar

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (esp. Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ThinkCell
