Otto James Consulting is delighted to come to the market with a new retained assignment with our Alderley Edge based technology client.
We have a newly created role which will take the title of Financial Controller in the organisations new European structure.
  
Our client is continuing to expand and as such they have increased their finance team to help their growth plans. As Financial Controller, you will be an integral part of the organisations commercial and strategic strategy, while ensuring that solid controls and processes are used and created.  

The Role

The role of Financial Controller has come about following the restructure of the organisations finance teams, so that there is now a greater emphasis on commercially viable profit enhancing information.
As Financial Controller, you will be in a pivotal role within the business increase the control measures around budgeting, forcasting and reporting. You will have exposure to the wider finance and none-finance functions, ensuring that all variables from internal and external operations are taken into account. This will include
  • Group Consolidation
  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • International Acquisitions (Germany and France)
  • Forecasting & Budgeting
  • Manage the teams for Financial and Management Accounting Processes ,
  • Quarterly Forecasting and Annual Budget setting
  • Continually develop procedures and processes with a view to enhancing the effectiveness of the business;
  
The successful qualified accountant is to be encouraged to attend external client presentations as you will be positioned within the senior management team. Yours skills as an accounting professional and a commercial manager will be utilised to show clients that this organisation values its internal talent and uses them to the best of their ability.
This is a fantastic next care step for a Qualified Accountant, who is looking to make the move into a Senior Management position.

Your Profile

This is a real opportunity to work within a team which is growing and driving change. The position will report into a Finance Director, who is looking to mentor the successful candidate as they work toward their career step of CFO.
Due to the technical experience, my client is open to seeing 1st and 2nd moves from practice who demonstrate their ability to manage teams.

Salary, Benefits & Location
  • £63,000 to £67,000 Base Salary
  • Alderley Edge (minimum of two days a week in the office. You can do more than two days if preferable)
