THE ROLE:
Responsibility for the day to day financial control of the company, reporting into and working closely with the Directors
Compliance with financial regulations to UK FRS, reporting and preparing financial statements, VAT
Have the ability to improve systems and processes where necessary to maximise efficiencies and meet reporting deadlines
Manage and nurture an experienced accounts assistant
THE CANDIDATE:
You are a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with previous experience at Financial Controller level. Capable of preparing and working with KPI's, you are technically adept and have the ability to relay financial information to non finance colleagues effectively and with clarity
Ideally you will have had a sound training in professional practice before gaining experience in industry and preferably from the privately owned, SME sector
You are a skilled communicator who enjoys business partnering as well as the technical aspects of accounting. You can provide ideas, solve problems, meet deadlines and want to be part of a company on a strong upwards trajectory

THE COMPANY:
This is a privately owned company in the SME sector, based in Hull and experiencing year on year growth.
SALARY:
£70,000 - £75,000 (depending on level of relevant experience)
