Broster Buchanan have been retained by a high profile Technology Services organisation to recruit for a Financial Controller to be based in their Birmingham Head Office.  This is an integral role to support the business in the next stage of its strategic journey. 

As Financial Controller, you will have:
  • Responsibility for a the Finance department and transaction team
  • Provide and maintain a robust financial control framework with adequate systems and controls, developing a culture of best practice, continuous improvement and excellence within the Department.
  • Assume responsibility for all UK submissions to Group and oversee production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Completion of year-end accounts, and preparation of audit packs for UK and European entities.
  • Develop business partnering to support key operational functional heads, pro-actively building positive relationships.
  • Support the development of the budget and forecasting plan and reporting cycle
  • Leading, mentoring and development the finance team
The successful candidate is likely to be a Qualified ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA accountant, who is technically strong and have the ability to lead from the front, building confidence and trust within the Finance team. You will have the ability to work confidently and efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding environment and have strong process, systems and business partnering skills.
