We are looking for an individual with a minimum of four years experience, who is passionate about their role, and who would like to work for an employer that genuinely respects and looks after their staff, with a great working culture.

You will play an integral part of the business covering all aspects of the finances. Supporting the business by providing payroll, consolidated group IFRS accounts, tax advice, pricing, reporting & forecasting to local stakeholders & the parent company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing & setting the direction of the team (in line with corporate vision)
  • Pro-actively initiating change & driving forward process improvements, within & across departments
  • Leading in management of UK tax (CT/VAT). Including setting and agreeing tax strategy & managing relationship with HMRC
  • Leading on systems replacement & key IT projects from finance perspective - cash / banking / AR / AP / GL
  • Delivery of 'IFRS’ reporting accurate / timely IFRS reporting - keeping abreast of developments and implementing changes
  • Ownership of reporting to parent Co. for consolidation - 'CONETS’. Ensuring zero errors. Working improving as is with Japanese parent
  • Deputise for Head of Finance / Commercial Controller as required

Key Tasks of Department:

  • Ensuring delivery of stat accounts (Local co & group)
  • Ownership of general ledger
  • Supplier management e.g., GL Software / Banks / External audit
  • Provision of payroll / tax services to group Co’s & associated recharges

The Individual:

  • Qualified Accountant - ideally ACA or ACCA
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience of creating & consolidating financial statements, leading a large team
  • Initiating and delivering change / improvements
