Financial Controller

Your new company
You will be joining an SME based in the Cambridge area that has experienced impressive growth post-Covid, and as such are looking to appoint a Financial Controller to this newly created position. This job role will be full-time and offers hybrid working.

Your new role
Due to the fast growth of the business, one of the primary focusses in this role will be to ensure that the financial controls, processes and systems that the business has in place, are fit for purpose given the change in size of the business. On top of this, you will be responsible for cash management, financial reporting, dealing with auditors for the main business and its subsidiaries, and business partnering with the operational teams in the business. With this in mind, the role offers a great balance between process improvement and being involved commercially.

What you'll need to succeed
It's not essential to be a fully qualified Accountant for this role, but you will need to be an experienced Accountant with proven ability to take on the duties mentioned above. A track record of improving processes and implementing robust financial controls will be required. The role would suit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual, not afraid to take on responsibility and able to hold their own with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.

What you'll get in return
In return, the package on offer includes:

• Up to £60,000 salary
• 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Discretionary bonus (typically 5% - 10%)
• Hybrid working - 1-2 days per week from home
