A fantastic opportunity for a qualified Financial Controller to join one of the largest leading financial services firms in the UK.

Reporting directly to the FD, this role will oversee the core finance team managing all the day to day aspects of the transactional processing and management accounts.

The role will be based at their impressive offices in the heart of Leeds City Centre, and would be ideally suited to a fully qualified Finance Manager/Controller with strong people management experience and skills, who enjoys developing and coaching a team.

Reporting to the Finance Director the key duties of this role include:

  • Oversee the Finance team to ensure the completion of duties including:
  • Monthly Management Accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reporting
  • Tax compliance
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Train, motivate and evaluate team members, create development and succession plans and address any challenging issues.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure smooth completion of annual audit.
  • Maintain and review accounting system to ensure integrity of accounting information.
  • Monitor changes to accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Managing the cash flow.
  • Assistant the FD with presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders and board members 

The successful candidate will:
  • Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified - Essential
  • Have previous experience of managing, coaching and developing teams/staff - Essential
  • Have previous experience of management accounts and key stakeholder management - Essential
  • Have previous knowledge of financial services - Desirable
