An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join a leading organisation on an 12+ month Fixed Term Contract, covering maternity leave. This role offers a competitive salary of up to £70K per annum, with the potential for a yearly bonus of up to 20% based on company performance. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility with a mix of home and office working from our Milton Keynes location. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in an environment of change and can provide clear direction to their team.

What you'll do:
As the Financial Controller, you will be at the heart of the finance department during an exciting period of change. You will have the opportunity to shape the future direction of the team, providing clear guidance and support to your direct reports. Your involvement in month-end processes and reporting will be crucial to the smooth running of the department. You will also play a key role in managing relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring that all interactions are handled professionally and efficiently. Your ability to ensure system reconciliations are carried out correctly will be vital in maintaining financial accuracy across the business.

* Provide clear direction and leadership within a changing environment
* Manage a team of direct/ indirect reports: Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Manager and Financial Accounts team
* Engage in month-end processes and reporting activities
* Manage relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, VAT consultants and tax advisors
* Interact regularly with other departments and offices, including those based overseas
* Ensure system reconciliations are carried out correctly, with support from the Project Accountant
* Be present onsite during month-end procedures


What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Financial Controller position is someone who is used to promoting change at both managerial and peer level. With your ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification or equivalent experience, you will have the technical skills necessary to succeed in this role. Your strong people management skills and experience in leading teams will enable you to provide clear direction and support to your team members. Your ability to push back when necessary and drive efficiency within the team will be crucial in this role. Additionally, your experience in stakeholder management and proficiency in using Dynamics 365 will be highly beneficial.
