Financial Controller | Fast-Growth FMCG Agency | London (hybrid)

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with an up-and-coming FMCG practice in their search for a commercially astute Financial Controller to join their growing team and partner with three brands. This role would suit an ambitious and driven Finance Manager/Controller who desires to be a leading figure within the company and have a clear route to Director level.

Founded by two leading figures in FMCG finance, our client partner with exciting start-ups and scale-ups to understand their financial and strategic needs, while ensuring their teams are best supported to manage their core accounting requirements and desires for growth.

You will be working with three food and beverage brands who are making strides in the market, working closely with the agency's Financial Director, as well as the brand's Founders directly, while being supported by a Senior Bookkeeper who manages transactional finance. You will take the lead with the production of management accounts, commercial analysis, financial reporting and business partnering.

Our client see the person coming into this role as a future Finance Director, while having the opportunity to consistently take on a larger portfolio as the company grows. Responsibilities

• Taking the lead with financial reporting
• Ownership of the production of management accounts
• Implementing new financial controls, adhering to industry standards
• Partnering with teams outside of finance, e.g. supply chain, marketing and sales
• VAT reporting and overseeing tax compliance
• Managing cash flow and treasury
• Providing strategic advice based on financial analysis

Essential qualities

• Exposure to the consumer goods space at Finance Manager level or above
• 2+ years post qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Able to take the lead with the production of management accounts
• Having a "hands on" approach to finance while having a strategic mindset
• Commercially astute and highly competent with business partnering
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills

Desirable qualities

• Experience working in a fast-growth SME
• Knowledge of Xero

Location: London (hybrid)

Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 (with future equity options in 2025)

Start date: ASAP
