Reed Specialist Recruitment are proud to be representing one of the UK's largest financial networks, who are looking for a new Financial Advisor to help service their clients directly, working out of their head-office in Horsham.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. To promote our policy of delivering Client Best Interest outcomes.

3. To take responsibility for own performance and identify personal development areas.

5. Ensure compliance of regulatory responsibilities.

6. Determine all information needed to provide strategic financial advice and develop a financial plan across a variety of financial products and services for clients.

7. Analyse data received from clients to develop strategies for meeting clients' financial goals and guide clients towards a profitable and secure financial decision.

8. Cultivate and maintain the client base and build relationships.

9. Network, generate leads and grasp opportunities to promote us to all professional connections.

10. Keep abreast of new industry’s trends and research the market to back up financial consulting.

11. Prepare or interpret financial document summaries, investment performance reports and income projections for clients.

12. Review client accounts and plans regularly to understand if any lifestyle changes necessitate changes in their plan in line with the client service proposition.

15. Take responsibility for own performance and to identify personal development areas.

Skills / Qualifications

• Relevant financial industry qualifications e.g Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (essential).

• Up to date Statement of Professional Standing (essential).

• Proven working experience as a successful Financial Adviser (desirable).

• Valid driver’s licence.

• Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply.

Main Function of Role:

• To provide financial planning and investment advice to new and existing clients of the firm.

• You will spend your day talking to clients about their financial objectives and risk tolerance and then recommend an appropriate financial planning strategy.

• To excel in this tightly regulated role you should already have the appropriate licenses and a deep knowledge of all the latest financial products on the market.

Essential Practical Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Ability to listen, empathise and build trust with confident private clients who are frequently successful in their field of endeavour.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills

• Knowledge of FCA Principles.

• Knowledge of FCA Code of Approved Persons.

• Knowledge of the FCA FIT handbook and Guidance.

Person Specification

• Ability to work on own initiative as well as working effectively as part of a team

• Carry out duties and responsibilities in compliance with health and safety policies and statutory regulations.

• Maintain high standards of personal accountability.

• You must be open and cooperative with the FCA, the PRA and other regulators.

• Willingness to undertake training and progress personal development.

• Maintain high standards of personal accountability

  • Up to £40k starting base salary, with £5k car allowance and salary review after 6 months
