Financial Accountant - £45,000 - £57,000 per year + Bonus & Benefits - Abingdon, Oxfordshire - Hybrid (3 days in the office)

FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with a leading US Listed life science and research business in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, to assist in the hiring of a Financial Accountant to join them on a permanent basis from their offices in Abingdon.

The successful candidate will be a qualified ACA/ACCA/ICAS or CIMA accountant who has excellent experience in the preparation of month end accounts and statutory reporting for multiple entities.

Responsibilities include:

• Key contributor for delivery of the month end close process and management accounts, including twelve legal entities across multiple countries.
• Variance analysis and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Supporting Group & Company Statutory requirements including HMRC filing, statutory and VAT returns.
• Liaise with local accountants in all EMEA subsidiaries to support statutory requirements including relevant tax filings, statutory accounts, and VAT returns.
• Responsible for SOX controls for all in scope EMEA entities. Liaising with the US Corporate Accounting team.
• Play a key role in year end and interim EMEA group audit in support of the US audit with external auditors.

 Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/ICAS or CIMA qualified, with 1-2 years PQE
• Strong accounting background
• Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP
• Excellent IT skills, including advanced level Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with ERP systems.
