A reputable and well established business in Whitchurch are currently looking to appoint a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.

The business are enjoying a sustained period of growth and are also looking to expand their operation via acquisition.

As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for the integrity of the financial information, ensuring compliance with SOX, UK legislation and UK GAAP for transactions.

Responsibilities will include;

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and assistance in review of sales report for distribution to the directors and senior managers
  • Overseeing the year end statutory accounts preparation for external audit.
  • Owning the Balance Sheet accounts including monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations across two sites, which are subsequently reported to Group Finance Team
  • Responsibility for the calculation and inclusion of new finance agreements within the financial information.
  • Developing/Maintaining financial controls to ensure 100% compliance and zero audit issues within SOX compliance framework.
  • Supporting the annual budgeting process.
  • Maintaining the PO process including setting up new customers/suppliers within SAP
  • Assisting, as required, the Financial Controller and FP&A Manager with reporting and projects
  • Weekly cashflow forecasting to Finance Director and Group Finance
  • Preparation of regular SOX reports
