The Job
A Group Financial Accountant will be hired for a period of 6 months, with view to becoming a permanent hire.   Office based with some flexibility when required.  In this role you will be responsible for all elements of financial systems and reporting ranging from treasury and technical accounting through to statutory reporting and forecasting.

General Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for ensuring financial processes, systems and controls are operating effectively.
  • Preparation of accurate and timely consolidated monthly account for Exec and Board
  • Management of transactional finance team in preparation of management accounts packs
  • Preparation of 13 week cashflow forecasts
  • Liaise with auditors and prepare audit packs and consolidation
  • Managing VAT, PAYE and Tax reporting requirements, including Corporation Tax
  • Carry out any ad hoc reporting required to investigate variances and queries after month end reporting
  • Monthly/Quarterly reporting to PE and banks
  • Quarterly covenant reporting
  • Driving Internal systems improvements
  • Coaching and managing members of the team
  • Maintaining good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Experience/Skills/Training Required
  • Qualified Accountant  is preferred ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience in a fast paced organisation
  • Experience of maintaining high quality financial controls, business processes and systems
  • Team management experience is preferred
