Financial Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Financial Accountant to join a growing finance team in Walsall. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

This role is ideal for someone who has just started studying ACCA/CIMA or part qualified. Depending on experience you can expect a salary between £28,000 - £38,000 per annum + study support.

What you'll be doing:

• Partner with the Financial Reporting team in preparing consolidated Annual Reports and ad-hoc reports throughout the year.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements for subsidiaries and the holding company across the business.
• Support key Balance Sheet reviews, including reconciliations for fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, and payroll.
• Collaborate with the FP&A team to create monthly Board packs with analysis of variances to budget and forecast for key metrics.
• Act as a business partner to divisional heads within Group Services, analysing monthly actual costs against budget.
• Compile, reconcile, and post group-wide intercompany interest.
• Provide ad-hoc support to the Treasury team, including daily banking activities and other treasury tasks.

What you'll bring:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a must).
• Experience with accounting software systems like Oracle is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
