We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team and take charge of financial accounting and reporting for our Investment Management division. This vital role ensures the financial integrity of our operations and is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and possesses excellent organisational skills.

Day to Day of the role:

• Serve as the primary contact for the Finance Director and manage a small finance team.
• Conduct thorough reviews of bank reconciliations for approximately 25 bank accounts.
• Act as a second signatory on bi-monthly payment runs and oversee the billing cycle.
• Coordinate and control corporate expenses and credit card statement submissions.
• Reconcile intercompany loan balances and interest calculations.
• Manage monthly closing of the Fixed Asset Register and general ledger maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with primary legislation, including VAT control and quarterly reporting.
• Support the production of annual audit lead schedules and trial balances.
• Assist with the coordination of external loan compliance and group consolidation worksheet population.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Newly ACCA/ACA qualified from a practice background
• XERO and Caseware experience desirable.
• Ability to produce basic Financial Statements and strong knowledge of UK FRS102.
• Proficient in producing and submitting VAT returns.
• Well-organised, able to prioritise tasks and work under pressure on a diverse portfolio.
• Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Proactive individual who can work autonomously and as part of a larger team.
