Financial Accountant - Gloucester / Hybrid - £50-55,000

Trial Balance Consulting are delighted to have been assigned by a well-established and innovative services business with big plans for the future. They currently seek to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their experienced UK finance team and the successful candidate will gain valuable experience working with a multi-site, globally trading business with ambitious future goals. This is a full time, permanent opportunity that benefits from a hybrid working arrangement for those that seek it (3 days office based, 2 days remote).

The opportunity is perfectly suited to a driven individual with a great head for the numbers as well as management reporting. Key duties to include:

- Supporting the senior finance team with month end procedures, ensuring accurate account reconciliations and insightful management reports

- Play a key role in preparing financial forecasts and business plans

- Production of monthly and ad-hoc financial statements

- Work closely with tax advisors to produce high quality corporation tax reports

- Completion of monthly CIS returns

- VAT reporting

- Costing and pricing analysis

- Cash flow forecasting

- Streamline processes and implement new initiatives

We’re looking for a talented, qualified individual (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) for this role, possessing at least 2-3 years PQE ideally gained within a fast paced and rapidly growing company. Applicants should possess strong technical accounting skills with good exposure to consolidation accounts. The company works as a paperless office and as such have implemented modern computerised ERP accounting controls so in addition to strong MS Office exposure (particularly Excel), we’re looking for a candidate with the attribute to get to grips with multiple financial systems. This is a fast-paced environment where the successful candidate will need to multi task, as well as liaise with colleagues and stakeholders.
