Job Title: Financial Accountant (Unit 4 ERP Specialist)
Location: London
Salary: £65,000 per annum
Contract Type: 1-year Fixed-Term Contract
Reporting To: Head of Financial Accounts

We are recruiting for a growing company based in London, who are committed to excellence in their field. As part of our ongoing commitment to operational efficiency and excellence, they're embarking on a project to implement the Unit 4 ERP system. To support this initiative, we are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant with expertise in Unit 4 ERP to join their already established finance team on a fixed-term basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Head of Financial Accounts and other key stakeholders to understand the requirements and objectives of the Unit 4 ERP implementation project.
  • Utilise expertise in Unit 4 ERP to assist in the configuration, customization, and implementation of the system to meet the financial accounting needs of the organisation.
  • Work within the Financial Accounting team to produce monthly accounts and assist with consolidation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, and operations to ensure alignment of business processes with the capabilities of the Unit 4 ERP system.
  • Provide training and support to finance team members on the use of Unit 4 ERP, ensuring a smooth transition to the new system.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of financial accounting policies, procedures, and controls within the Unit 4 ERP system.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems, leveraging the capabilities of Unit 4 ERP to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with significant experience in financial accounting roles.
  • Proven experience working with Unit 4 ERP, including configuration, implementation, and support.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and practices, with the ability to translate business requirements into system solutions.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues and identify solutions in a timely manner.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience leading projects or initiatives within a finance or ERP environment is desirable.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
