Financial Accountant - Partially Qualified

Robert Half are excited to be working with an industry leading organisation to recruit an Part Qualified Financial Accountant position, based in Cardiff, with hybrid opportunities following successful probation.

They are offering a very competitive: base salary up to £40,000 + study package + growth opportunities + onsite parking.

As a Part Qualified Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Monthly Balance sheet review and recs
• Management and review of all overheads including weekly & monthly department overhead review meetings
• Analysis of monthly transport cost v recovery
• Working closely with operations and procurement and assisting in any cost saving/analysis projects
• Numerous group reporting requests throughout the year
• Completion of bi-annual stat packs for Statutory reporting
• Annual Tax pack completion for Group Tax
• Vendor amendment checks and approvals on any changes in SAP
• Approval of weekly payments via BACS and Bankline
• Heavy involvement in both internal and external audit
• Management of the financial information required for R&D Tax credit annual review
• Weekly cashflow reporting including group reporting
• Heavy involvement in the month end process including P&L/BS review and group reporting (2 day close)
• 2nd review and approval on weekly expenses
• Weekly analysis of credit notes/warranty costs
• Raising of any adhoc recharge invoices and rebate credit notes
• Ad-hoc projects required by the business and group
• Assisting AP with any complex query resolution
• Ensuring all group internal audit criteria is adhered to and completed on a monthly basis

Desired Profile:

• Enthusiastic and motivated to progress in their career
• Confidence to work with & present to other departments when required
• SAP experience and knowledge - highly desirable
• Excellent excel skills to include pivots/lookups/sumifs and ideally power automate

Package & Salary Details:
