Jenson Fisher have been engaged by a highly reputable organisation based in Glasgow City centre to recruit a Financial Accountant on a Fixed Term contract for 12 months.  The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analysing financial data as part of the month and year end process, including liaising with internal and external auditors. My client will also consider a part-time candidate (3 or 4 days) or full-time.  There is the opportunity for hybrid working with this role. There is an opportunity for this role to go permanent.

The main duties:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets and forecast
  • Analysis of financial performance and provide commentary on variances
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation of annual statutory accounts
  • Liaise with internal audit as required
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
  • Process improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness of the team
  • Support the finance manager with ad hoc projects and analysis as required
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
The main requirements:

  • Part Qualified, Qualified ACCA/CIMA or QBE
  • Experience of Sage software
  • Experience of management accounting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team Player
