Finance Acquisitions Manager

Join the UK's leading independent financial advisory and wealth management firms! Trace is recruiting a commercial Finance Acquisitions Manager to join our Finance team in Birmingham. Title to be finalised. 

As the Finance Acquisitions Manager you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity of acquisitions, ensuring timely reporting, and providing valuable insights to stakeholders. You'll be responsible for overseeing monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and EBITDA reporting, as well as participating in acquisition accounting activities and post-acquisition integration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Produce monthly acquisition reporting within agreed timeframes.
- Prepare/review monthly management accounts with variance analysis.
- Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations.
- Participate in acquisition accounting and post-acquisition integration.
- Monitor and report financial performance post-acquisition.
- Oversee subsidiary accounts integration into Group Finance function.
- Review acquisition completion accounts prior to signoff.
- Continuous improvement of accounting practices and processes.
- Support subsidiary finance personnel with process improvements.
- Monthly review of subsidiary payment processes and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in subsidiary payroll review and integration.

Requirements:

- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
- Experience in financial services industry preferred.
- Experience with acquisition accounting and consolidation processes desirable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Small company experience highly advantageous.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective organisational and planning skills, with ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong IT skills.
- Delivery focused with a keen eye for detail.
