Seven Resourcing are currently seeking a Finance Technician to work within Lincolnshire Council. This is a full time position, and we are paying £15.93 per hour for this role.

The role:

Financial Services provides a comprehensive range of financial accounting, business partnering, working capital and client financial management services. Work as part of a team of people at the front door of Financial Services receiving communications from both internal and external customers.  Through professional and prompt customer service resolve the ask and/or signpost accordingly. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather business intelligence on customers need and continuously improve service delivery by suggesting efficient and effective ways of meeting needs.
  • Attend the team meeting every month.  Contribute to the agenda providing updates and/or changes in areas of responsibility.  Contribute ideas to the development of the training programme to ensure training needs and/or knowledge gaps are filled.
  • Provide professional, high-quality financial support and advice for a specific area of service responsibility. This could include the processing of journals, budget changes, recharges and supporting adult social care clients with financial queries.
  • To provide financial information to team members to support delivery of the statutory requirement regarding the annual closure of accounts process including the processing of accruals and the provision of financial information required to complete the notes to the statement of accounts.  

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role. 
  • Compliance: Current Standard DBS check. 
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 37 hours p/w.
