Our client, a leading charity in the finance sector, is seeking a Finance System Implementation Manager for a contract position based in Bristol. As the Finance System Implementation Manager, you will be responsible for designing and delivering a new finance system, including the design, build, functional testing, training, and implementation phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implementing the new finance system, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Leading the system transformation, taking ownership of the design, build, and testing phases.
  • Working closely with the wider finance team to ensure smooth integration and alignment with existing processes and systems.
  • Utilizing your expertise in project management to oversee the end-to-end implementation process.
  • Bringing your experience in the charity sector to effectively navigate the unique challenges and requirements of a finance system implementation within this context.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to influence decision-making and ensure buy-in throughout the project.
Job Requirements:
  • A strong background in finance, with significant experience in successfully delivering finance system implementations.
  • Fully qualified accountant, with a deep understanding of financial processes and reporting requirements.
  • Experience in system transformation and confident in building systems.
  • An understanding of VAT and its implications within the finance context.
  • Previous project management experience, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Experience working within the charity sector would be highly advantageous.
  • Systems accountant experience is desirable.


This is a contract position offering a competitive daily rate of £400-£450 per day outside of IR35. The role will be based in Bristol, with the option for hybrid working, spending 2 days on-site and the possibility of additional on-site work as needed.
