Finance Project Lead

Finance Project Lead to play a key role in our upcoming ERP replacement project in collaboration with a local government organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant transformation initiative that will enhance financial processes and systems within our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership:

• Lead the finance module of the ERP replacement project, ensuring successful execution within defined timelines and budgets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, providing guidance and leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

1. Financial Expertise:

• Utilize extensive finance project experience to understand financial processes and requirements.
• Work closely with finance teams to align project objectives with organizational goals.

1. ERP and S/4HANA Experience:

• Demonstrate expertise in ERP systems, with a focus on S/4HANA.
• Leverage prior experience to drive efficient adoption of S/4HANA within the finance function, ensuring optimal configuration and utilization.

1. Business Needs Analysis:

• Conduct thorough analysis of business needs related to finance and accounting.
• Provide strategic advice and recommendations on aligning ERP solutions with business objectives.

1. Data and Data Structures:

• Possess a deep understanding of data and data structures, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial data within the ERP system.
• Collaborate with data teams to establish robust data governance practices.

1. Change Management:

• Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions for end-users.
• Provide training and support to finance and accounting staff to maximize the benefits of the ERP replacement.

1. Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and challenges related to the ERP replacement project.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is a plus.
• Proven experience leading finance-related projects, particularly ERP implementations.
• Extensive experience with S/4HANA and a strong understanding of SAP solutions.
• Solid understanding of financial data, data structures, and data governance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Change management experience, including training and support for end-users.
