Job Title: Finance & Payroll Assistant

Location: Blackpool

Salary: Competitive

The successful candidate will be provided with full and comprehensive training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily cashbook updates and reconciliation
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Preparation of supplier payments
  • Assistance with sales ledger
  • Debt chasing
  • Maintenance of control accounts
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparation of monthly intrastat declarations

Essential requirements:

  • A confident person with good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Proficient with MS Office, Excel spreadsheets and accountancy software
  • Organised, self-motivated, pro-active with the ability to multi-task
  • The ability to accurately process data
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Previous experience in payroll or account administration beneficial
  • Willing to study towards and AAT qualification
  • An effective team worker
