Finance Officer

Morgan Hunt is working with a regulatory body who are looking at recruiting a Finance officer on a temporary contract.

The perfect candidate will be a key member of the corporate services directorate and will be responsible for ensuring effective financial management for the organisation.

They should be experienced in Sage 50 accounts as well as payroll, audit processes and be AAT qualified. This short term temporary contract hybrid role is based in London , £24.63 per hour including holiday pay.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Officer:

• Enter transactions onto the Sage 50 finance system, including journals and invoices.

• Administer bank accounts, petty cash, credit cards and merchant accounts and reconcile regularly.

• Regularly reconcile control accounts on balance sheets. To administer finance specific applications, i.e. Sage accounts, Moorepay, BACS payments.

• Collate the payrolls data for staff and members - and forward to the external payroll company for processing, including payments to HMRC and pension providers.

• Produce the draft management accounts for budget holders and the senior team.

• Collate and record the budget and forecast statements and maintain agreed processes.

Previous Skills and Experience of the Finance Officer:

• Experience of using Sage 50 accounts as well as online payroll/GR system

• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting and audit processes.

• Degree level and appropriate technician accounting qualification (e.g. AAT).

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role

• Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to analyse and summarise information

• Excellent written , verbal communication and time management skills.
